Welcome to Duff Street United Methodist Church!

Hello!  We are glad that you have checked us out online!  Whether you are searching for a church, a recent visitor taking a closer look or a regular attender, we welcome you to our website.

Duff Street Church’s purpose is simple: Love God – Love Others – Serve the World. We see ourselves as a community of hope – in the Stealey neighborhood of Clarksburg and beyond.

We wish to connect with you in a variety of ways: online, where you will find information about recent and future events; worship, where you will be able to seek God in a contemporary worship service or a traditional worship service; studies, where you will be able to explore the bible in Sunday school, bible studies or other small groups; and fellowship, where you will be able to meet other Christians and grow together spiritually.

There was a large structure built in a city for an international exposition many years ago. Most of the citizens of the city demanded it be torn down as soon as the exposition was over. Yet from the moment its architect first conceived it, he took pride in it and loyally defended it from those who wished to destroy it. He knew it was destined for greatness. Today it is one of the architectural wonders of the modern world and stands as the primary landmark of Paris, France. The architect, of course, was Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. His famous tower was built in 1889. In the same way we are struck by Jesus' loyalty to another structure--the church--which he entrusted to an unlikely band of disciples, whom he defended, prayed for, and prepared to spread the gospel. To outsiders they (and we) must seem like incapable blunderers. But Jesus, the architect of the church, knows this structure is destined for greatness when he returns (John Berstecher.)

There is no perfect church. There is no perfect person. At Duff Street Church all are under construction. God is working on us. We hope that you will choose to come and grow with us! God bless you.
